We are BlackØwl, a Spanish Rock and Roll band formed in Barcelona in 2018 by Jesus Montero, Fran Navarro, Dani Calderon, Dani Martos and Victor Ortiz.
After years working in previous projects, playing gigs all around Spain we decided to join forces writing our songs.
From classic rock to blues including southern rock reminiscences, raw and direct sound, hard riffs and forceful vocals strongly influenced by hard rock bands like AC/DC, ZZTop, Airbourne, we released our debut EP ‘Long Road Ghosts’ and our first LP ‘Fly Away’ reviewed by ‘La Heavy’ with maximum score!
In 2022-2023 the band presents 5 new singles, Dark Side Of Rock And Roll, Heist, About An Angel, Tear The Walls Down and Rolling For You. In 2024 the band line-up changes and Franz “Jof” Quispe joins the band as lead singer
We were asked to play at Barcelona Rock Fest sharing the stage with international bands like
KISS, Judas Priest, Alice Cooper…receiving very good reviews from the specialized audience.
…so we played the second day in a row by popular demand!
In 2024 two songs of the band have appeared in an important national movie in Spain “Por tus Muertos” integrated in the
soundtrack and with an important role in the plot.
We were asked to play at Barcelona Rock Fest sharing the stage with international bands like KISS, Judas Priest, Alice Cooper…receiving very good reviews from the specialized audience. …so we played the second day in a row by popular demand!
